Încă o poveste frumoasa de Crăciun
🌲🌲🌲

Latecomer of the colors, made out of Lapis Lazouli (mined in Afghanistan), extremely expensive to produce, used by royalty and rich nobility only by special license, blue was associated with wealth and power, serenity and virtue.

In Egypt, blue was associated with the sky and with divinity. Blue could also protect against evil and misfortune. It was used for the eyebrows on the funeral mask of King Tutankhamun and is still used to make the Eye of God amulet.

Blue glass was manufactured in Mesopotamia and Egypt as early as 2500 BC, and in the Middle Ages blue stained glass were installed in the windows of the cathedrals of Saint-Denis and Chartres. It was also widely used to decorate Byzantine churches,  mosques and palaces in the Islamic World.

King Louis IX of France became the first King of France to regularly dress in blue. The coat of arms of the Kings of France became an azure or light blue shield, sprinkled with golden fleur-de-lis.

No wonder that blue was and still is one of the most fascinating colors.

I’m just amazed of the intensity and richness of this blue, that looks like it hides well kept secrets and mysteries.

ImageSo, whenever you want to feel like royalty, wear deep rich blue…Imageinfinity blue! 🙂Image
